  1.                     MAZE 3.0, a 3D graphics MAZE program.

  3. What? Another maze program? No way! There is no other program quite like
  4. MAZE 3.0. A brief list of MAZE30's unique features:
  5.  
  6.    1) MAZE allows a three dimensional view during exploration of the
  7.       maze exactly as is encountered when exploring caves. MAZE provides
  8.       players many options including use of a compass, and the ability to
  9.       leave markers in rooms.
  10.    2) MAZE automatically recognizes most video hardware and will use advanced
  11.       palette switching techniques to provide instantaneous video displays for
  12.       use with EGA or VGA video adapters.
  13.    3) Users with PCs incapable of graphics can still enjoy the full
  14.       capabilities of MAZE through a character graphics mode.
  15.    4) Each maze generated is unique. The user can specify any size maze from a
  16.       2 by 2 to an 80 by 80 maze.
  17.    5) The mazes can be printed afterwards or saved to a file. MAZE will
  18.       generate IBM graphics characters or common ASCII characters which any
  19.       printer can print.
  20.    6) MAZE has been developed by a professional programmer and has been
  21.       thoroughly debugged on a variety of different PCs.
  22.    7) MAZE contains extensive help screens - all the documentation is 
  23.       available from inside the program.

  32.    MAZE30.EXE  - Self sufficient executable program. Requires 178K
  33.                   free RAM and DOS 2.0 or higher. MAZE should run on all IBM
  34.                   PCs and compatible clones. This program has built in help
  35.                   information and an introduction.

  37.    MAZE30.DOC  - User directions on how and why to use MAZE30.

  40.    M3READ.ME   - Short intro to MAZE (this file).

  42.    The original Toshiba 1100 laptop PC has its own somewhat strange attribute
  43.    assignment for display. If you have a similar non-standard display
  44.    invoke MAZE with: "MAZE30 x". This should be tried if the display
  45.    is not readable on your PC. This may be a peculiarity of the older Toshiba
  46.    Laptop displays. The new ones including the T1000 and T1100, do not seem to
  47.    have this problem.

  50. You are encouraged to pass this program on to others, but please keep
  51. all files together and do not modify the program or the documentation.
  52. If you transmit this program of the telephone, please ARC all 3 files together
  53. and use an error checking protocol such as Xmodem.
